Leroy Sloas, age 80, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at The Terrace Nursing Home after a long illness.
Leroy was born in Brushy Fork, Kentucky to the late John Willie and Allie Mae Sloas. He was a self-employed mechanic and a US Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by eight siblings, Willie Linville, Ezra, Estill, Dorothy, Mary, Johnnie, Elwood, and Carl Lee.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Catherine Sloas; three children, Alan Lee (Nicole) Sloas, Kevin Roy (Toni) Sloas, and Elizabeth Catherine (Jeff) Phelps; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two siblings, Ruth (Darrell) Thomas and Lowell Sloas.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Lakes Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in the Berea Cemetery.
