Obituary
Melba Maureen Jennings Davis McIlwain, 71, of D'Iberville, MS passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Memorial Hospital, Gulfport.

She was born November 3, 1950, in Holmes County, MS to the late Darling Houston Jennings & Josie Spivey Jennings White. She retired as an Executive Secretary for the City of Biloxi, Parks & Recreation and was a member of Woolmarket Baptist Church.

Melba enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and a danish while playing Mah-jong on her computer late at night. She also loved taking photos of flowers, mushrooms and of her (many) grandkids, and she enjoyed working in her yard. You could always find her doing puzzles or writing in puzzle books. She absolutely loved her crafts and collecting frog & rooster knickknacks, and beautiful teacups.

Melba loved her HUGE family! She is survived by her three children: Diana (Rob) Smith of Simpsonville, SC; Bill (Stephanie) Davis of Lexington, MS; and Amy (Philip) Davis of D'Iberville, MS, as well as 8 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren. She was one of 15 siblings and enjoyed "running the roads" with Debbie, family trips with Violet, Bob, Dusty & Darlene, and her daily phone calls with Jerry.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Woolmarket Baptist Church (12816 Lorraine Rd, Biloxi, MS 39532). Visitation begins at 10:00am with service to follow at 11:00am.
