On 25 May 1780 Rhoda, a Quaker, according to the Smithfield Meeting's records, "Rhoda Harris Wife of Nathan" was "disowned" after a "complaint" was raised "for her neglecting to attend any religious meeting, also for her marrying out of unity and being into the fashions of the world".

Named in the will of her father, Solomon, dated 28 Feb 1800 at Gloucester, Providence, Rhode Island, as follows:
"...Item, I give unto my two daughters, namely Rhoda the wife of Nathan Harris, and Ruth the wife of Isaac Thayer, to each of them two hundred good silver dollars apiece to be paid by the said Elisha and his wife as aforesaid."

Job Harris's Family Bible

This Bible, printed in the early 1800's, belonged to Job Harris, (s/o Preserved Harris and Nancy Warren) (also, nephew to Emer and Martin Harris) and then passed it to his brother in law John L. Grant (who had married his sister, Elizabeth Harris).

"In the Family Section there is a blue sheet of paper that has been glued to the Bible page:
