Mrs. Lonie Mae Bennett Wilson, 97, went home to be with the Lord at Walnut Cove Heathcare.

She was born to Charlie and Carrie Harrison Bennett.

She was a Home Maker and a member of Stokesdale Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Julius Doss Wilson, six children and eight sisters and brothers.

Survivors include her seven devoted children Lois (Gerry) Throckmorton of Walnut Cove, NC, Ervin (Linda) Wilson and Shirley Moore of Baltimore, MD, Betty (John) Staton of Stokesdale, NC, Alvin Wilson and Joe Wilson, both of Walnut Cove, NC and Ray(Martha) Wilson of Greensboro, NC, three sisters Mary King, Sylvia (David) Brown, and Bertie Jewel, twenty five grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at Stokesdale Baptist Church with Pastor Carl Brown and Brother Darrell Freeman officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.
