Nashville --- Martha Dean Williams, age 87, passed away January 21, 2018. Mrs. Williams was born on March 23, 1930 in Burwood, TN; daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Mangrum.. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Marvin E. Williams; brothers, Robert Mangrum and Jesse Mangrum and sisters, Opal Spann and Ophelia Cummings; and grandson, Eddie Maynard.
Mrs. Williams was a longtime member of Christ Church Nashville. She was employed by Benson Printing Company and later retired from Harvey's. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren. Her beautiful smile and contagious laugh will forever be etched in our hearts. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Stones Rive Manor, Inc., Benevolence Fund, 205 Haynes Dr., Murfreesboro, TN 37129 or Alive Hospice Murfreesboro. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 and from 12-1 PM prior to the service at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, Directors.
