Mrs. Hannah Winger Bailey, one of seven children born to Benjamin and Barbara Winger, was born at Erie, Pennsylvania, on September 8, 1854 and departed this life at her home four miles west of Climax, May 16, 1927 at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 8 days. When seven years of age Mrs. Bailey moved to Indiana with her parents where she remained until the year 1875, in which year she moved to Michigan. On November 21, 1875, she was united in marriage to Mr. William Bailey of Galesburg. To this union were born seven children, four of whom have preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband William H. Bailey one brother Barnett Winger of Danville, Illinois; two daughters Mrs. Albert Russell of Climax and Mrs. Albert Sheets of Battle Creek, one son Ray Bailey living at home; eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the farm home, the Reverend Arthur E. Larsen officiating. Wednesday at 2 o’clock. Burial was in the Bailey cemetery, Charleston Township.
