Graveside services for Eldridge Dupree of Levelland will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at the City of Levelland Cemetery with the Rev. Gil Ramirez, pastor of Park Drive Baptist Church in Levelland, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, June 4, at Lynwood Manor Nursing Home in Levelland.
Born Nov. 24, 1920 in Brown County, he moved to Hockley County in 1945. He married Billie Ruth Evans Dec. 26, 1945. She died May 13, 1997. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and retired from Sun Oil Company in 1985 as production foreman. He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Leanne Dupree, March 3, 2003.
