Died Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Superior Twp., MI. He was born on October 5, 1941, in Kentucky the son of George Amos and Eda (Hill) Goble. On September 16, 1995, he married Dorothy F. Skeens and she survives. Monty was the owner of Monty's Heating and Cooling in Ypsilanti for many years. He had the capacity to fix just about anything that was put in front of him and when called to fix a broken furnace in the winter, he made sure to get it going so no one was left in the cold. Monty attended Victorious Life Church of God in Ypsilanti. He will always be remembered for his love of hunting. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter; Stephanie Goble Frush, Linden, VA one granddaughter; Paula Copeland, Warrenton, VA and two great grand grandchildren; Michaela and Stephen Copeland; four sisters: Yvonne (Paul) Dingus, Betty Allen, Judy Goble and Brenda (Lee) Turner; and also survived by a large extended family and a host of friends. Monty was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Laura. The family will receive friends at Janowiak Funeral Home, Geer-Logan Chapel on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Further services and burial will take place in Kentucky.
