Wesley Lewis Gambrell, age 75, of Gainesboro, was born on December 14, 1946, in Putnam County TN, to the late William and Elzo Maxwell Gambrell. He passed away on January 31, 2022, at the Mabrey Healthcare and Rehab in Gainesboro.

During his time of employment, he worked at a Nursery, drove a truck and was a Maintenance man at a factory. He served two tours of duty in the Army where he earned 3 medals, National Defense, Vietnam Campaign and Vietnam Service Medal.

Last year he was reunited with his two children after being separated for 48 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by.

4 brothers, Charles Hebert, Douglas O'Neal, Samuel Derwood and Joseph Carroll Gambrell

4 sisters, Ima Jean Clouse, Elizabeth Ray, Linda Joy Burgess, and Wanda Charlene Gambrell

He is survived by.

Son, William Allen Taylor

Daughter, Karen Faye Sturgeon

2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

4 sisters, O'Geal Sparks, Mural Burgess (Gerald McFarland), Thelma Hickey, Cathy Thomas, and Judy Fields.
