Stanislaus Baer was the 3rd child of Sebastian Baer and Anna Schilling. He was 15 years old when his family moved to the United States. He had been born in Karlsruhe, Odessa Russia, which is now a part of the Ukraine. His first Wife was Margaret Maffenbeier, the neice of his step-mother, Catherin Maffenbeier-Ochs Baer. They had two children. After she died, Stanislaus married Marianna Schoch, together they had five children. Stan was a farmer near Ipswich. Stan and his brother Leo were very close. Stan's wife Marianna had come to the United States aboard the SS Lahn in 1893 just one month before Stans family arrived on that same ship. Stan died in 1937 at the age of 59, but Mary lived to be 78 and never remarried. Everyone loved Aunt Mary.
