Peter Baer is the son of Leo and Theresa Baer. He married Gladys Uttenhove on December 17, 1941 in Bennetsville, NC. They had two children that lived beyond infancy. Peter served in the Army at Fort Brass, North Carolina, as an orderly. He owned a gas station in Iswwich, SD. in the 1940's. There he had a refrigerator that you had to put a quarter in every morning to make ice. He bought a truck that he later sold to this father. He also worked for the Mobile Bulk Plant delivering fuel oil. When he retired he moved to Aberdeen, then later to Minnisota, where he died in 1987.
