Joy D. (Ditzler) Leppo, 79, of McSherrystown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at home.

Born February 14, 1942 in Taneytown, MD, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Myrtle I. (Cullison) Ditzler.

Joy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Joy had a deep faith and was a previous member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Leppo loved to decorate and her house was like a museum with all her country décor and figurines.

Joy is survived by her three sons, Denton E. Leppo and his wife Michelle, Michael R. Leppo and his wife Janet of Ocean, NJ, Jeffrey Leppo of Littlestown; five siblings, Alice Bollinger, James Ditzler, Jack Ditzler, Rick Ditzler, Deb Wolf; three grandchildren, Amanda Leppo, Valencia Leppo, Alex Leppo; one great granddaughter, Anabelle Kosicki and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by first husband, Harry E. Leppo; second husband, Carl R. Leese; sister, Gloria Milburn; a brother, Ray Ditzler and sister, Sherry Bevans.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Leppo will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with Rev. Kevin D. Orewiler officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. Pallbearers will be; Brady Kosicki, Travis Wolfe, Aaron Allan, Shane Ditzler, Jamie Ditzler and Donald Fringer.
