Arnold Dean "Dink" Elledge, 79, of Browns Summit, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2022. A native of North Wilkesboro, he was the son of the late Paul R. Elledge and the late Florence Anderson Elledge. At the age of 15, Dink joined the Navy and served three and a half years. In 1966 he moved to Greensboro and was one of the first employees of Gilbarco. He worked there forty-two years as a tool and die maker. He joined the navy reserves in 1971 and retired from that in 2003. Dink was loved by many and was known for sharing produce from his garden with a smile. His other interests included playing bingo, working crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy! and old westerns.

He was preceded in death by half-sister Mae Mabe, sisters Helen Elledge and Martha E. Hawkins Walker, and brothers Roy, Russell Henry, Paul Ray, Floyd, and Steve. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Sarah Bowman Elledge, daughter Denise Morris (Cary), son Paul D. Elledge (Erin), and four grandsons Luke Morris, Zacary Morris, Maverick Morris, and Revin Morris. He is also survived by brother Clifton Elledge of Wentworth and sister Jane Lloyd of Yorktown, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Gospel Baptist Church 5945 N Church St Greensboro, NC 27455. Dr Harlie Miller will officiate. Burial immediately following at the Bowman-Elledge farm with military rites.
