Mrs. Mae Anderson Mabe, age 92 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, May 25th, 2015 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28th, 2015 2:30 PM at Friendship Church of the Brethren with Rev. Gary Benesh and Rev. Mike Church officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 27th at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mabe was born in Wilkes County on May 2, 1923 to Paul and Florence Anderson Elledge. She was a retired Caregiver, retired from Wilkes Senior Companions and was a Housewife.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Estel Mabe.
She is survived by one daughter; Gail Shumate and husband Dennis of North Wilkesboro, three sons; Gary Mabe and wife Louise of Winston-Salem, Randy Mabe and wife Becky of North Wilkesboro and Roy Lee Mabe of North Wilkesboro, Four Grandchildren; Wayne Mabe, April Foreman and husband Jonathan, Jason Mabe and wife Ashley, Pam Kennedy and husband Scott, five great grandchildren; Tatum Foreman, Kassidie Foreman, Zoey Foreman, Brenan Mabe and Nevan Mabe, two sisters Martha Walker of Reidsville and Jane Lloyd of Virginia, three brothers; Clifton Elledge of Reidsville, Dean Elledge of Greensboro, Steve Elledge of Reidsville.
