Robert Nelson Greenwood, 90, of Hooks, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, in a local nursing home. Mr. Greenwood was born April 22, 1917, in Syracuse , N.Y. He was a member of
Victory City Baptist Church, Leary, Texas, and a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Kemp Greenwood of Hooks; three sons, Harry T. Greenwood of Hooks and Robert C. Greenwood and Richard K. Greenwood of East Syracuse, N.Y.; two daughters, Lorraine Lumia of Canastota, N.Y., and Carol Buck of Tully, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Friday in White Chapel Cemetery under direction of DeWitt Memorial Funeral Home.

Robert Nelson Greenwood was born in Syracuse, New York, on April 22, 1917. He was a member of Victory City Baptist Church, Leary, Texas, and was a 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He has lived in Hooks, Texas, since 1993. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Kemp Greenwood, Hooks, Texas; three sons and two daughters, Harry T. Greenwood and wife Selvia of Hooks, Texas, Robert C. Greenwood of East Syracuse, NY, Richard K. Greenwood and wife Mary of East Syracuse, NY, Lorraine Lumia and Robert Chamberline of Canastota, NY, and Carol Buck and husband Bill of Tully, NY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, on December 26, 2007, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at White Chapel Cemetery, DeWitt, NY, on Friday December 28, 2007, under the direction of DeWitt Memorial Funeral Home.
