She was born on September 9, 1913, in Grant County, and was a daughter of the late Charles B. Clifford and Coralie Satilphia (Kent) Clifford. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard W. Bruce, on Mar. 2, 1971, and three brothers, James, Eugene and Robert Clifford.
She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and was the true matriarch of her family.
Surviving are two sons, Bernard W. Bruce and Ralph E. Bruce; four daughters, Louise V. Bruce, Lorraine V. Selby, Clara E. Davis and Satilphia L. Bruce; a number of grandchildren, three of whom she reared, Rhonda, Tyrone and Geraldine Selby, and a number of great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilmer Clifford, and three sisters, Virginia and Beulah Bruce, and Mary Mills.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the Bonnieview Apostolic Chapel, Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Williamson officiating.
Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Williamsport.
