He was born October 18, 1935 at Richardson, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles Davis Whytsell and Lovie Slider Whytsell.
He formerly worked for an electric company as an electrician and was a home builder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and anything outdoors. He formerly attended the Leatherbark Community Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen L. Hall Whytsell; and two brothers, Bill and Harold Whytsell.
Burial will follow in the Lynch Cemetery near Arnoldsburg, West Virginia.
