Born in York May 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Russell J. and Edith B. Perkinson.
In addition to her son Brian J. Whare and his wife Teresa, she is survived by one brother and one sister, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one great grandson, and other brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held 10-11:00am Monday, January 3, 2022 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home, 2114 West Market St. York. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am with Rev. Charles Topper as celebrant. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to SPCA or Wounded Warriors project.
