Funeral services for Laura Vining East, age 80, of Oak Grove, La will be 10:00AM, Friday, November 23, 2007 at Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Ninemire officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM and Friday from 8:00AM until time of service at Cox Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Bill East; parents: Thomas H. Vining and Aunnie Bell May Vining; 2 sisters: Janice Everett and Martha "Doodle" Brown.
Laura is survived by her daughter: Cheryl Savoy and husband Mike of Opelousas, Louisiana; son: David East and wife Susie of Longview, Texas; daughter: Lee Stilson and husband Dennis of Maud, Texas; 6 Grandchildren: Chris Neal, Lisa LeGuin, Holley Hester, Ty East, Sally East, Bill Stilson; 7 Great Grandchildren; brother: Thomas Vining and wife Bernice of Marion, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Neal, Ty East, Hank Hester, Roger Maxwell, Lavelle Brown, Jerry Harper.
