Funeral services for Mrs. Martha (Doodle) Brown, 46, of Lake Providence, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church of Lake Providence with the Rev. Wallace Blackwood, pastor, officiating.
Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Providence under the direction of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home.
A native of Oak Grove, Mrs. Brown succumbed Thursday afternoon of last week in St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, from the effects of a sudden illness.
Survivors include her husband, John Ernest (Jack) Brown Jr., of Lake Providence; three sons, John E. Brown III. William Thomas Brown and Robert Dale Brown, all of Lake Providence; her mother, Aunie Vining, of Oak Grove; a brother, Thomas H. Vining, of Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Laura East, of Oak Grove, and Mrs. Janice Everett, of Orange, Texas, and one grandchild.
