MARVIN J. CLEMENTS

Marvin J. Clements passed away Friday the 4th day of August, 2006 after a brief illness. Mr. Clements resided in St. Augustine, Florida since 1995, but was an Atlanta resident for most of his life. Mr. Clements is survived by his wife, Margaret Cook Clements of St. Augustine, Florida; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Clements of the Southwest and Carey Jane Clements Davidson and her family, son-in-law, Mr. Bill E. Davidson and one grandson, Patrick Taylor Davidson of Snellville; Margaret's 4 children, Tony Cook and Todd Cook of Atlanta, Tammy Cook and Kenny Cook of San Jose, California. Mr. Clements was preceded in death by Mrs. Patricia Borg Clements, his first wife and mother of his children, who died in 1988; also predeceasing him were five other children, the oldest being Cheryl Ann Clements, who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis, in 1959, a fragile child of 11 12 years old.

Mr. Clements was a former Marine who valiantly served his country in 1942-1945. He was a Marine of the MAG 13 Aviation Group. Mr. Clements became an Air Traffic Controller as his career choice, where he worked for 37 plus years and retired in June 1986. Mr. Clements was a healthy individual for most of his life. He had a very fun sense of humor and enjoyed life. He always enjoyed working with his hands, gardening, fishing, and in his later years, golf. He loved his family deeply and will be missed by all who loved him.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, the 9th day of August at two o'clock at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. Interment Arlington Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from five until eight o'clock at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30319, 404-261-3510.
