Frank Bateman, 83, formerly of Princeville, died July 31, in the home of his son in Kokomo, Ind.
He was born July 27, 1884, in Peoria County, near Kickapoo, a son of Charles and Jennie Savage Bateman. In 1914, he married Essie Van Sickle who died July 24, 1959.
Surviving are his son, Glenn of Kokomo, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Allen of Tarpon Springs, Fla., one sister, Mrs. Cora Snow of Santa Monica Calif., one brother, James Bateman of Elmwood, and four grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother.
Mr. Bateman had lived in Princeville for many years and only sold his home to move to Indiana early this spring.
Services will be held in the Hammitt Memorial Chapel in Princeville with Rev. Ernest Fernandes of Peoria officiating. Burial will be in the Princeville Cemetery.
