Faye Louise Olson Haddon LeDosquet
January 18, 1933 - November 19, 2021

Faye LeDosquet; beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; passed away Friday November 19, 2021 of Alzheimer's disease in Bountiful, Utah.

Faye was born January 18, 1933 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Rulon Seth Olson and Hazel May Jones Olson. She was the oldest of nine children. She grew up in Rigby, Idaho and attended Rigby High School where she met Kay V. Haddon. They were married on her father's birthday, June 15, 1950. The lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho then Tooele, Utah where Faye worked at First Security Bank as an assistant to the president of the branch.

The couple moved to Santa Clara, California where they adopted their first daughter, Christine. After moving to North Ogden, Utah, a second daughter, Tami, was adopted. The family spent many happy years in North Ogden where they were sealed as a family in the Ogden Temple. They also enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and home improvement projects. Unfortunately, the couple later divorced.

Faye was an exceptionally hard worker, a trait she credited to her father, and held many positions where she was known to do the work of 3-4 people. She was the office manager and accountant for two different construction companies and ended her working years as a manager of a convenience store.

Faye was extremely devoted to her family. She was service driven and helped in any way she possibly could. She helped raise Tami's three children and provided childcare to her three great-grandchildren. After Faye retired, she and Tami formed a trucking company; Tami as truck driver and Faye doing all aspects of bookkeeping in addition to caring for her grandchildren and home. Faye was a master at handling finances and making a little go a long way.

In 2004 Faye married Richard LeDosquet and the couple spent 8 wonderful years together discussing their faith, books, politics and many more subjects. These years were some of the happiest in her life and the support and love Richard provided truly blessed Faye's life.

Faye's talent for gardening was evident in the beautifully landscaped homes she lived in. She also had amazing gardens and her family enjoyed the benefits of those harvests. She preserved food and was a fabulous cook. She preferred small, intimate family dinners and enjoyed just spending time with her family.

Another of Faye's talents was quilting. She spent many long, painstaking hours making quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. She learned many techniques and made beautiful, unique quilts. Each of her children and grandchildren is blessed with a quilt she lovingly quilted by hand.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Christine (Michael); grandchildren: Marc, Lacey, Alec (Halayne), Victoria (Christian), Cody, Ryan, Elsa; great-grandchildren: Arsen, Ayva, Amaya, sisters Karen Gay (CD), Kathleen (Gus); brothers: Kenneth, David (Norma), Lynn, Gary, and many nieces and nephews. There are more than 10 family members who have the middle names of Faye or Louise in her honor.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents Rulon and Hazel, husband Richard, brother Joseph and daughter Tami.

Special thanks to the staff at Truwood by Merrill Memory Care Facility and her amazing nurses and aides from Utah Home Health.
