Scotland circa 1738, and "John was related to Flora MacDonald, the most famous of all Scotland's heroines" John married in Ireland and in 1765 settled on a farm at the fork of Goose creek in Loudon county, Virginia. He located to Monroe, Butler County Ohio in 1807 and suffered the effects from a fall and died 4JAN1818 in his 80th year.
