While training as a nurse at the Marietta Hospital, she met and married Adrian C. Whitlock in 1943 and had two children, Adrian Jr and Martha. She was a member of Mableton First Baptist Church; returned to nursing as an aide on the Pediatric Unit at Cobb Hospital; and loved gardening both vegetable and flower, quilting, crocheting, sewing, and taking care of others.
She is preceded in death by her husband Adrian and son Andy; brothers Elmer, Edgar, Frank, and JC; and sister Effie. She is survived by her daughter Martha; grandchildren Annette Bruce, Kim Perry, and Amanda Breland; six great grandchildren Taylor, Connor, Nathan, Alex, Patrick, and Maddie Grace; and a host of loved ones, family, and friends. We will missed her dearly.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at White Columns Chapel, 1115 Clay Road, Mableton, Georgia with interment at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, Georgia.
