Mrs. Effie A. Scoles, 77, 4332 Tyler street, died Tuesday at her home. Mrs. Scoles was born March 1, 1871, in Fremont county, Iowa. She was married to William Scoles and the couple farmed in Woodbury county for 30 years before moving to Sioux City in 1938. Survivors besides the widower include a son, Floyd, of Oto; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Mastin and Mrs. Ray Coon of Sioux City; a brother, George McCrory of Hamburg, Ia.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Nelson of Omaha, Mrs. Minnie Wisenberger of Rockport, Mo., Mrs. Michael Wisenberger of Hamburg, and Mrs. Lulu Fredenburg of Sioux City; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Anderson funeral home.

The funeral for Mrs. Effie A. Scoles, 77, 4332 Tyler street, who died Tuesday at her home, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Wesley Methodist church. Rev. Victor Schuldt will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The Anderson funeral home has charge of arrangements.
