Mr. Kiser was born in Dickerson Co., Virginia to Walter Bruce and Nannie Johnson Kiser.
Mr. Kiser served in the United States Army during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Chancy Clay Eller Kiser of the home; one daughter, Patricia Lynn Nance of Moravian Falls; two sons, Wayne Kiser of Dante, Virginia, Sammy Kiser of Taylorsville; two stepsons, Garry Shephard of Harmony, Dean Shephard of Wilkesboro; three sisters, Beulah Amburgey of Dante, Virginia, Ruth Kiser of Statesville, Molly Kiser of Lebanon, Virginia; one brother, James Kiser of Statesville; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday 2:00 PM, March 12, 2004 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel.
Burial with military rites by Post #1142 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park.
