Barbara D (Brainerd) Mejia-Muniz passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the age of 84. She married Fedolino "Fred" Muniz in 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Barbara was a lifelong educator with Albuquerque Public Schools and enjoyed golf, reading, and traveling when she was able.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leone Barbara (Becker) and Charles Lawrence Brainerd, Jr; her sister, Jean Brainerd Anderson; and her former husband, Fedolino "Fred" Muniz in 2019.
Barbara is survived by two daughters; one son-in-law; two grandsons; two sisters; her brother; and other family members.
