ARTHUR BEST DIES
Arthur "Bunny" Best, 58, of RD 2 Clarion died early Tuesday, May 12, 1981, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Jan. 26, 1923, in Clarion Township, he was a son of Joseph T. and Alice Mae Walker Best. He was married in 1943 to the former Mabel E. Lowers, who survives.
Mr. Best was employed for the past 10 years by PennDOT before leaving because of ill health. He was a veteran of World War II.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Joseph W. of RD 2 Clarion; two grandchildren, Brent and Stacy Lynn Best of RD 2 Clarion; two brothers, Lloyd J. Best and Thomas E. Best of RD Clarion, and two sisters, Mrs. Ross (Lucy) Hartzell of Knox and Mrs. Edwin (Irene) Beichner of RD 2 Clarion.
His mother and brothers, Francis and Glenn Best, preceded him in death.
Friends are being received at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Floyd J. Taylor of the Clarion Free Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
