Oleon Bryant Cassell, 84 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at his home.
Mr. Cassell was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Ellis and Icy Branscome Cassell.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin R. Cassell; a brother, Lester Cassell; and a sister, Anita Cassell.
Oleon met the love of his life in 1955 and they were married on August 17, 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Frances L. Cassell; daughter, Jean C. Jennings (Glen); son, Danny R. Cassell (Darlene); grandchildren Stephanie Perry (Jason Macdonald) and Adam Edwards (Ashley); great-granddaughter, Audra K. Perry; sisters, Faye McGrady and Lois Hepler; brother, Jerry Cassell (Joyce); one step-grandson; two step-great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; and special pet "Otis Poe".
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastors Wendell Horton and Roy Quesenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
