Mrs. Connie Mae Otto, age 70, of Quincy, IL passed away, Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 7:10 a.m. at the Heritage Manor in Mt. Sterling, IL.

She was born September 23, 1951 in La Grange, MO a daughter of James Christopher and Bonnie Violet Logan Ludwig.

Connie spent a short time as a truck driver and enjoyed seeing a lot of the United States. She had worked as a receptionist at Sycamore Health Care for 19 years and had operated a daycare for four years, but, had cared for children in her home for a long time and was everyones nana. She was a member of the La Grange Christian Church.

Connie loved to sew, make crafts, crochet, sew quilted ornaments and make memory balls and follow her friends and family on Facebook.

Connie was a follower of "Star Trek" and the game show Family Feud. She always had a story to fill the room and an infectious laugh that would tickle anybody who heard it. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Connie loved any visitor that came to her kitchen table for coffee.

Survivors include two sons, Karl Allen (Betsy)Weyant of Basehor, KS and Rob Weyant of Canton, MO; two daughters, Teresa (Mark) Gioviannia of Washington, IA and Jesse (Adam) Heisel of Quincy, IL; one brother, Lyle (Nora) Ludwig of Canton; one sister Jane (Don) Martin of Oakwood, IL; two grandsons, Stephen Weyant of New York and Owen Weyant of Canton; three granddaughters, Karla Weyant of New York, Kaitlyn Dandridge of Frankford, MO and Raine Weyant of Canton; one great granddaughter Thea Otto of Quincy; sisters in law, Annette Ludwig of Keokuk, Geneva Ludwig of La Grange, MO and Dorothy Ludwig of Foley, Alabama and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Harold, Keith, Rodney, Dennis and Jim Ludwig and one sister Linda Ludwig and her best friend Debbie Shepherd.

A visitation for family and friends to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange. A private interment will be held at East Midway Cemetery near La Grange, MO.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Chad Ludwig, Dennis (Scottie) Ludwig, Greg Ludwig, Dan Ludwig, Jake Ludwig, Chris Ludwig.
