Mae was born February 22, 1938 in Epps, LA to June and Bammie Mazie Plunkett. She answered God's call to come home on November 14, 2021, joining her parents and only child, Richard Lawayne Crumpton, at her home in Ringgold, LA.
She dedicated her life to God as a teenager and fully believes the teaching of Acts 2:38, The United Pentecostal Church and Jesus Name Baptism. She taught the beginner and junior Sunday School classes for a number of years.
Mae was the twelfth of thirteen children. Other than her parents and son, she was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters; father and mother-in-law, Leo and Chloe Crumpton; brother-in-law, Drew Carter and sister-in-law, Willie Martinez.
Left to join her later is her youngest sister, Beatrice Hubert; the only treasure she had on Earth, her wonderful husband of 63 years, Willard Duane Crumpton, who she married two months after graduating from Castor High School. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, LaVonia Carter and Louise Plunkett and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Randall Carter, Scott Carter, Austin Carter, Tommy Humphrey, Brandon Rowell, and Shawn Rowell.
The family would like to thank Chaplin Christina, the nurses and aides of St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care and dedication.
