He was born January 5, 1900 in Bremen to Harrison and Ellen Reed Cline. he had resided in Osceola since 1926, moving there from Mishawaka. Mr. Cline a retiree of Uniroyal Inc.
In 1918 in Plymouth, he married the fomr Hazel Selner, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert L. of Union, Michigan, and Herbert M. of Osceola; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Annis and Mrs. I. Oliver Eislinger of Bradenton, Florida.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, with the Reverend Glen Crabb of Mishawaka officiating. Burial was in the Olive Cemetery, Osceola.
