Born in 11 June 1925, Hilde (Becker) Hennig was the youngest of four children of Adam Becker & "Babette" Barbara Höring (Wittmann) Becker of Haßloch, then part of the Kingdom of Bavaria, post-WWII the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, county of Bad Dürkheim, Germany (West Germany 1947-1990). Hilde & her three older siblings were brought up in their parents home at Kirchgasse 48. The 1935-36 town address book shows their father, Adam Becker, listed there (see his father Georg Becker the Elder's page to see a picture from the address book). -- Kirchgasse (Church Lane) was so named for having "The Big Church" Christuskirche (Christ Church, Protestant) on it at Haßloch Zentrum (Center), intersecting with the other main artery, Langgasse there (Lang Lane).

Hilde & her siblings, all born in Haßloch to Adam & Babette, were:
1) Luise Barbara Becker (1914-2004) {md. Fritz Anslinger in 1943}
2) Karl Becker (1916-1978) {md. Anneliese Marneth in 1941}
3) Elise Margarethe Becker (1920-2010) {md. Ernst Merkel in 1942}
4) Hilde Becker(1925-2014) {md. Rudi Hennig in 1950}

In 1950, Hilde married Rudi Hennig,
a successful Glasermeister & Schreiner (Master Glazer / Window Manufacturer & Carpenter) who'd inherited his dad's business in Haßloch. Hilde's eldest sister's two little daughters were her bridal attendants, the elder of which was also her goddaughter. Hilde & Rudi had one daughter of their own in 1956. They lived in their own home in Haßloch (possibly Füllergaße 80, Rudi's childhood home.) Hilde's elder sister Elise eventually inherited living at their childhood home, Kirchgasse 48.

Hilde was gifted in mathematics from an early age, winning multiple school medals. She was also on the country's best girls handball team alongside her first cousin Ruth Becker, daughter of Adam Becker's youngest brother Philipp Becker. (See commemorative newspaper clipping with team photo of the Hasslocher Girls' Team from the 1940s.) {Ruth later worked for, then married the town physician, Dr. Frank, & had one daughter.}

Hilde lived in Haßloch where she was born all her life until the last 11 years, when Rudi had died, and she moved to a little apartment of her own within a retirement/nursing home community 30mins away in Bad Bergzabern. Hilde was 88 when she passed away in February 2014, before her birthday in June. Hilde's ashes are in Parkfriedhof (Park Cemetery) in a columbarium by the fountain ponds.

Rudi is buried in the other Alter Friedhof (Old Cemetery) a few blocks away. He died in 2003.
