Funeral services for Mrs. Sophia Legband, a former resident, was held Saturday afternoon at Fremont at Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. Bruggemann officiating. Interment was made in the family plot in the Snyder cemetery.

Mrs. Legband was born December 16, 1857, in Hanover, Germany. She passed away suddenly last Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Reiter in Kearney. Most of her life was spent at Snyder and later at Fremont.

Mrs. Legband is survived by eight daughters and two stepsons.

All were present for the funeral. They are Mrs. Harold Dana of Long Beach, Cal., Mrs. Willis Taney of Boulder, Colo., Mrs. George Reiter and Mrs. Albert Reiter of Kearney, Mrs. Ed Blake of Nickerson, Mrs. Fritz Roepke of Hemingford, Mrs. Charles Jacobsen of Madison, Mrs. Herman Harnisch, Gus Legband and Art Legband of Snyder, and one sister, Mrs. Ludwig of Kearney.
