Thomas Brian Ackley, 77, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2021 after losing his battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Thomas was born in Wildwood to the late Charles and Paula (McClain) Ackley and lived in Vineland most of his life and spent the summers in Wildwood growing up.

Prior to his retirement, Tommy drove a cement mixer for R.E. Pierson and was a 40 year member of Teamsters Local 676. He was a lifelong truck driver and loved to tell stories about driving a truck. Thomas was also a Navy Veteran.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, roller skating, riding his bicycle, country music and watching westerns on TV. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson.

Tommy was a member of St. Padre Pio Parish in Vineland, a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was a 4th Degree Knight and a member of Never Rest Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth (Kadetsky); daughter, Jennifer Riggio and son-in-law, Kenneth Riggio; grandson, Kenneth Brian Riggio; sister, Hope Brolis; brother, Miles; aunt, Bette Murphy and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Tucker.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9am to 10:45am, followed by a funeral liturgy at 11am at St. Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Memorial Program, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959 (stjude.org/memorialgifts) or the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102 Philadelphia, Pa., 19106.
