Shirley McCray, 73, of Barling, Arkansas, entered into rest, Monday, December 10, 2007, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born December 23, 1933, in Pocahontas, Arkansas the daughter of the late Evans and Jennie Bennett. Shirley was a retired employee of Klein Tools and of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband George McCray; grandson, Derek Rapert and sister, Maxine Hart. Survivors include; daughter and son in law Sherry and Shane Holtrey of Cave Springs, Arkansas; three sons; Shawn and wife Becky Rapert of Barling, Maurice and wife Cindy Rapert and Warren and wife Shannon Rapert all of Dallas; two sisters; Hazeldean Starr of Little Rock and Marian Gazaway of Kansas City, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith with interment at U.S. National Cemetery officiated by Reverend Gary Brown. Pallbearers will be Johnny Otto McClure, Evans Lee McClure, Ian Rapert, Eric Rapert, Larry Kirk and Carroll Gazaway.
