Marjorie Krell, 98, of St. Joseph passed away July 5, 2018, at Whitcomb Towers, St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at Coloma United Methodist Church with visitation beginning one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial donations in Marge's memory may be made Grace Hospice or ASPCA.
Marge was born on June 22, 1920, in Bangor, the daughter of Earl H. and M. Bernice (Muchler) Merriman. She was a graduate of Bangor High School and Western Michigan College. She married Roland Krell of Coloma on July 21, 1946. Marge taught music and later fifth grade in Coloma Schools from 1946 until her retirement in 1978.
She shared her musical talent at several churches as choir director, piano accompanist and organist before and after her retirement. Marge enjoyed reading, sewing, collecting cardinal figurines, gardening, camping and many memorable vacations.
Marge is survived by two daughters: Mary (Erwin) Klug of Buchanan and Betty Krell of Coloma; two grandchildren: Corine (Branden) Stewart of Odessa, Fla., and Andrew (Lyndsa) Klug of Buchanan; two great-grandchildren: Jackson and Claire Stewart. Marge loved her family and enjoyed entertaining.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; parents, and brothers, Leslie and Carl Merriman.
