Johnnie Mae Staples, age 97, of Noblesville, Indiana, formerly of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at her residence. She was born January 3, 1924 in Bedford, the daughter of Howard and Stella (Garrett) Staples.
She was a homemaker and while living in Bedford, attended the Bedford Baptist Church. She enjoyed embroidery and gardening.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Tingle of Noblesville; one sister, Lillie Jo Embrey of New Castle, Kentucky; two granddaughters and their husbands: Stella and Brian McDole of Noblesville, and Shelley and Ronald Lloyd of Anderson, Indiana; four great grandchildren and spouses: Brian and Brittni McDole, Brianne and John Baute, Abigail and Jason Schmidt, and Shelby and Zack Thompson; and ten great-great grandchildren: Gabriel Farrell, Darby, Gwen and Mavis Baute, Cooper Thompson, Elijah, Andrew and Caleb McDole, and Auli and Colin Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Forrest Staples; one brother, Walter Staples; and two sisters: Vina Leach and Lucille Black.
