Mrs. Audrey "Joan" Aird, 92, of Lake Pleasant, New York, daughter of Harold and Marion Graham, died peacefully Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville, New York.
Born in Gloversville, Joan attended Lake Pleasant Central School, followed by Wells Central School.
In her youth, she spent a lot of time in her family's hotel, Graham's Hotel, where she lived, played, and worked.
She held multiple different careers throughout her life, including working for Charlie John's Store, Hamilton Lake Lodge, and the Town of Lake Pleasant.
For years, she was a member of the Hamilton County TWIGS and Ladies Golf League of the Lake Pleasant Golf Course.
Joan enjoyed various hobbies including gardening, playing Bridge and Pitch, golfing with family and friends, and enjoying a beer and clamato juice in the afternoon. She was a source of comfort who soon felt like a grandmother to all who knew her.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Harold and Marion Graham, sisters Joyce Cook and Lois Clute, grandson Jamie Healy, and her husband of 57 years, Lawrence Aird.
She is survived by her daughter Marla (John) Healy and sons Doug (Corky) Aird and Kevin (Michele) Aird; siblings Beverly Millet, Harry (Marie) Graham, and Peter (Gail) Graham; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
