Jimmy Charles Chandler, 83, of Burkburnett, Texas, passed gently into the waiting arms of his Savior on November 4, 2021 in Burkburnett, Texas.

Jimmy was born on January 14, 1938 to John William Chandler and Ida Ruth (Crouch) in Seymour, Texas. He married Joyce Marie Webb on December 18, 1958 in Seymour, Texas. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage until Joyce's death on November 18, 2011. He honorably served our nation in the United States Army as an artilleryman for two years beginning in 1960. His most important things in life were his family and friends, while he also loved to work in his shop and drive for hours out in the country to admire wildlife. All of his friends at the Burkburnett Whataburger will miss him dearly as he became a 'fixture' there over the past 30 years.

He is survived by his sons, Korey Chandler and wife Jacquelyn of Burkburnett, and Kurtis Chandler of Wichita Falls; grandsons, Jordan Chandler and Zachary Chandler of San Antonio; granddaughter, Allison of San Antonio; grandsons, LCpl Dawson Carter (USMC) of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Logan Carter of Burkburnett, and Nathaniel Chandler of Lubbock; and great-grandchildren, Bryer, Darcy and Emily Stagg of Wichita Falls; his siblings, Elaine Owen of Iowa Park, Gerald, George and Eddie of Seymour, and Johnnie Mae of Arkansas; and his faithful feline companion, Freddy, who now resides with his eldest son. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Charla; son, Jeffrey; and siblings, Perry Weldon Chandler, Shelia Sue Chandler, Ida Bell Jones and Carl Belvin Chandler.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the team members and volunteers at Hospice of Wichita Falls for their support and professionalism. Donations are suggested in memoriam to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd, Wichita Falls, TX 76310 and the Burkburnett Church of Christ. 204 N Ave C, Burkburnett, TX 76354.

Memorial services honoring Jimmy will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
