Mary Frances Anderson Armstrong, 69 of De Soto, KS passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 at Advent Health Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam, KS. The family will receive friends at the visitation from 5 to 7 pm, and the Rosary will be held at 7 pm, both on Tue., Nov. 9 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 am, on Wed., Nov. 10 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at Johnson Dr. and Monticello Rd. in Shawnee, KS with burial to follow in the Monticello Union Cemetery in Shawnee, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home. Mary was born on Dec. 1, 1951 in Kansas City, KS the fifth child of seven to Thomas and Mary Anderson of De Soto, KS and was very proud of her family's Scottish heritage. She was a past member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe, KS. She was an avid Chiefs fan and also liked to watch Royals baseball. She was great at all kinds of crafts and loved being apart of the Ren. Fest each fall with her daughter. She greatly enjoyed her relationship with and the job she did for the Horners at M.H.P. Management, where she worked for 29 years and even after continued to be an integral part until she just no longer could. Mary was preceded in death by the love of her life her husband of 35 years Clif "Dubby" Armstrong in 2015, the family is comforted to know that she passed on his birthday. And two sisters Carol and Margaret Anderson. She is survived by her three children Jayson C. Armstrong and his wife Katie of Ellis, KS; William K. Armstrong of De Soto, KS and Brianna "Breezy" Hunt and her husband George of Leavenworth, KS. Four grandchildren Piper Hunt, Jaymes Armstrong, Paisley Hunt and August Sinclair. One brother Thomas Anderson of Crystal River, FL and two sisters Linda Prock of Gardner, KS and Jean Hayden of Tonganoxie, KS as well as many nieces and nephews other family and friends as close as family that will miss her greatly.
