She loved to travel and the highlight was her trip to Scotland in 2004, with 2 of her sisters. She loved horses and they were a part of her entire life. She had taught riding lessons, barrel raced in her younger years and brought her love of horses to many, especially passing it on to her children and grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Anderson in 2010 and is survived by her three children Rita Maunee Woods and her husband Ben of Concordia, MO; Nicholas Ryan Thomas and his wife Kristen of Shawnee, KS and Sarah Diane Thomas of Shawnee, KS; one brother, Tom Anderson (Georgina) of Crystal River, FL.; three sisters, Linda Prock (Darrell) of Gardner, KS; Jean Hayden (Cecil) of Tonganoxie, KS; Mary Armstrong (Clif) of De Soto, KS; four grandchildren Taylor, Brodie, Caitlin and Cody.

The obit for Carol is somewhat confusing, but it appears that the name she used, Anderson, is her maiden name. (Maybe divorced or separated?) Her brother's last name was Anderson, and her children's names were Thomas.
