Born September 20, 1920 in Panguitch, Utah to James Nathaniel and Isabell Church Cooper. Married Ophelia Nay January 14, 1947 in Fredonia, Arizona. Jim worked in the CC Camps and helped build the Zion's and Bryce Canyon roads. He was a truck driver for 38 years, 17 of those with Kaibab Lumber Company. He loved to fish, hunt and was an avid sour dough cook. He loved sports, and was a driver of the school bus to many school activities. He received the No. 1 Fan Award. Survived by wife, two sons and five daughters and spouses. Preceded in death by a grandson, Ben Otho Cooper; brother, Thad Cooper; and a sister, Grace Young.
