KERRVILLE, TX - Margaret Elizabeth Yates, 81, of Kerrville, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at a local residential care facility.

She was born November 9, 1924, in San Antonio to Harry Ballard Poland and Marvel Bacon Poland.

Mrs. Yates was a retired secretary for the accounting firm, Tucker, Marfin & J.K. Reiley. She was a member of First Christian Church.

She is survived by husband, Norman Yates of Kerrville; sister, Violet Rasmus of Kerrville; daughter-in-law Wanda Yates of Shawnee, KS; grandchildren, Phil Yates of Austin and Sharon Yates of Shawnee, KS; nieces, Mary Ann Medley of Philadelphia, PA, and Rebecca Parman of San Marcos; nephews, James Rasmus of Colorado Springs, CO, and John Rasmus of Snyder; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be on Saturday, September 30, 2006, 10 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by the Rev. Arlie Lammers.

Interment will follow at Garden of Memories.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
