Letcher Carr Grigg
November 12, 1936 - April 20, 2018
81 Years of:

Feeling Loved, Loving, and being the Perfect son, brother, nephew, uncle, husband, brother-in-law, and friend.

Carr's humor and unexpected one-liners created an atmosphere of joy, peace and contentment as he walked through his life. Being the Secretary of State Joe Carr's nephew enveloped him in a legacy of history as one man one vote was generated in the state of Tennessee Supreme Court Case Baker vs Carr.

He was indeed the answer to my Mother's prayers. When he casually participated in an interview as a possible teacher for Florida his life changed completely, and so did mine. As we have laughed about so many times over the 48 years of marriage. Carr said, "You walked into that room and did not notice me. I was determined to get your attention." And he did.
March 21, 1970 we married-
yes, it was the happiest day of my life.

And now God has continued to bless us with friends, family and minimum suffering for my Carr Baby in the last week of his life.
...... His infamous last words to me as I said. Carr, I love you.
His response: I love you back.

Thank you for coming to support his family and celebrate your relationship with Carr. He is at peace and has lots of loving family members and friends surrounding him as they listen to his one-liners, teacher stories, and see his former facial expressions turned into heavenly antics.
God Bless each on of us. As we sing with Annette
Because He Lives.

In lieu of flowers Carr's family requests donations in his memory be made to any of these Charities:
Habitat for Humanity
The Jewish Museum of Florida
St.Jude's Children's Hospital
