Daryl W. Bewley, 76, of Aledo, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Aledo Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, at Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time Friday at the funeral home. The family will be present from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing requirements will be observed. For your safety and that of the family and vulnerable attendees, please wear an appropriate mask/face-covering.

Memorials may be left to the Daryl W. Bewley Memorial Fund.

Daryl was born June 12, 1944, in Aledo, IL, the son of Jesse "Jake" Lee and Velma Mosley Bewley. He married Mary D. Kimball on November 11, 1961, in Aledo, IL.

He retired as a lineman for Frontier Communications. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Aledo.

Daryl had coached for many years, including the Bloomington Hearts Baseball team, several fast-pitch softball teams and the Aledo/Mercer County High School Girl's Softball team. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Mary; son, Doug Bewley of Aledo; grandchildren, Brock Bewley of Joy, IL, Bryce (Jesse) Bewley of Davenport, Aaron Bewley of Aledo, and Carey Bewley of Texas; four great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce McKinley of Mesa, AZ; and two sisters-in-law, Patsy Bewley and Arlene Bewley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Bewley in 2014; and five brothers, Richard, Robert, Jerry, Charles and William.
