Born Oct. 29, 1913, in Rowan County, Mrs. Kimball was a daughter of the late Sloan Alexander and Ocie Shulenberger Overcash. She retired from Cannon Mills sewing room after 51 years and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
A lifelong member of the former Bethany Lutheran Church, now New Hope Lutheran Church, she was active in many phases of church work over the years. She was a former member of the choir, active in the Women of the Church and instrumental in leading programs and pageants at the church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Bennett, and her second husband, Ralph L. Kimball.
Survivors include stepdaughter Lynette Kimball Riley, Stephens City, Va.; and two step-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Whitley's Funeral Home chapel, conducted by Dr. Larry Bost. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of sister-in-law Cleo Overcash, 1206 Lane St.
Memorials: New Hope Lutheran Church, Building Fund, 1615 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
