Dewey Mayo Sr age 76, passed away October 17, 2021. He was born December 5, 1944 in Mobile the son of Louis Dewey Mayo and Pearl Hicks Mayo. Dewey fought many health issues and never wavered in his love and devotion to his Lord Jesus Christ. His steadfast reliance on God's strength and compassion allowed him to persevere through very trying times, all while inspiring others to seek the same refuge he had found in Christ. Dewey was an incredible husband, father, and grandfather and teacher for his entire family. He will be dearly missed by his love ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by father, Louis Dewey Mayo; mother, Pearl Hicks Mayo.

He is survived by wife, Hazel Ballard Mayo, daughter, Lynda LeBlanc, grandchildren Elizabeth McDonald (Stephen), Athina Davis (Matthew Dawkins) and Julia Davis, great grandchildren, Lukas Dawkins, Vivian McDonald, Max McDonald and Lydia Davis.

Funeral : 1:00 PM Sunday October24, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home . Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Internment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
