Lendell Dwayne Birmingham, 79, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2021, in Sherman. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home, where visitation will be held 5-7 pm Wednesday, October 20.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, October 21 at Heritage Nazarene Church, SCN, with Pastor Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.

Lendell was born in Sentinel, OK, to Wayne Wilburn Birmingham and Annie Lucile Fielder on June 24, 1942. He attended Sublette High School and graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He married Carolyn Jean Youngblood on December 1, 1973, in Sherman Church of the Nazarene. He worked as a Product Engineer for Texas Instruments for 32 years. He was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force.

Lendell was preceded in death by his father and mother and his grandparents, Leonard and Susie Fielder, as well as by several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include Carolyn Birmingham, daughter Tamara Schultz (and husband Rusty) of Sherman, and son Wayne Birmingham of Bonham, and grandchildren: Nikki Roy and Doyle of Pottsboro, Heather Schultz of Portland, OR, Lindsey Schultz of Austin, Dalton Schultz of Sherman, Haleigh Birmingham of Sherman, Hannah Birmingham and Carson Birmingham of Frisco, and great-grandchildren McKenna, Lilly, and Lane Roy of Pottsboro. Also a brother, Jerry Birmingham Sr. (and wife Elaine) of Gulfport, MS, and stepfather Clifford Colwell of Hollis, OK.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Birmingham, Rusty Schultz, Doyle Roy, and Dalton Schultz.

Memorials may be given to Heritage Nazarene Church.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Tamara's closest friend, Melissa Schmitz for her invaluable help and support, as well as to Dr. Jerry Marlin, neurosurgeon, Dr. Mark Jenkins, general surgeon, Dr. Hesham Elgouharie, liver specialist, and to ICU and 6th floor nursing staff at Texoma Medical Center, and the staff at Heart to Heart Home Hospice.
